CQ CQ any one on the frequency, this is VU3JHN!
I had Written my HAM Radio Exam in 23rd July 2011, so it took 16 months in total to arrive. And a 2.5 months of delay was from my side in sending the DD for the license fee, else i would have got it in August itself as my fellow exam-mates !
I am active from 14th Nov, made a good number of Contacts through VU2TWO: 145.650 (-.600 Shift) Mhz Repeater in Bangalore.
HAM Fraternity, with big heart welcomed me on air. A wonderful experience being on air! forget the cell phones, the one-way, frequency set and identified by an call sign.
Having fun with this colorful and technical hobby! My small Radio Handset (Handy) - Baofeng UV-3R , a Dual Band (VHF/UHF) operated, 3 watt max powered & with rubber ducky(antenna) performs well in my first floor residence. However i have made all my contacts being on the terrace of 3rd floor of my building very comfortably.
Hoping to build my shack with a VHF, UHF base station and an HF set too! Before that i got to set up an antenna and pull a cable from it to my room, to connect it to my Handy for a powerful communication.
That's all for the day, thank you.
